Filled with intext and full-page black & white photographs, illustrations in sepia tones (green, blue, black), color illustrations, foldout diagrams, and glossy two-page spreads, this set is a wonderful addition to any library. Condition: Textured burgundy boards have the title, Grolier emblem debossed and border on the front cover and the standard Grolier gold gilt title and pattern to the spine. There is some wear at the top and bottom of the back strip on all volumes although little wear to the boards. Most of the corners are sharp with no wear and only slight bumping (see detailed descriptions and photos). The spines are firm with no slanting and no cracking to the end papers. Text blocks are solid. Age tanning through. Previous owner name and date on the front endpaper. Interior pages are in excellent condition with no creases, tears, or previous owner marks.
