Description: In 1992, The Ancestral Trail hit newsagent shelves.published by UK part-work powerhouse, Marshall Cavendish, it was to ha a total run of 52 fortnightly parts. Based on a trilogy submitted by South African author Frank Graves, Marshall Cavendish commissioned Fergus Fleming to create and add characters as the manuscript by Frank Graves was deemed unsuitable for their type of installment release magazine format. This included focusing each issue on a new environment, a new adversary and ending each issue on a cliffhanger which would be resolved in the following issue. Each issue features twelve illustrations drawn and painted by Julek Heller. After the initial 26 part run, The Ancestral Trail was extended by a further twenty-six issues and written by Ian Probert. This listing is for individual "complete" magazines (add your chosen issues to your basket). The inside flap of the back cover contain cards and pieces of a map which readers could cut out. As a consequence of this, finding magazines (particularly early issues in the series) which have not been cut up is now very hard. The magazines in this listing have not had the inner flap cut up and are intact (i.e. complete). *Part 25 - the current issue on sale has a small tear to the back cover and is therefore priced to reflect this.
