Description: LONG WAVE & SHORT WAVE UV Stunning fluorescence from this Terlingua-type Calcite cleaved crystal. This is my last one and by far the best as it has an incredible pink/peach color in addition to the most vibrant UV colors of any of my other I had. It fluoresces a bright brilliant pink with long wave UV light and a light blue under in short wave UV light. Very strong Phosphorescence after Long wave. The crystal is cleaved into a typical Calcite rhombohedral "block like" form. has misc minor chips here and there. These Terlingua type Calcites are amazing, probably the best fluorescing minerals I have owned. From The Challenger Cave Mine in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. 128 grams. 2-1/4" length. NOTE! I used a long wave (365nm) UV convoy2 with a band pass filter for the long wave images, you will need one as well to see the UV reaction like in the pictures. The short wave images were shot under a 6 watt short wave lamp (254nm).
