Description: Hi, and thank you for visiting our shop! This listing is for one Teddy & The Bear replica model (based off original, which was created in 1904). It's made of cast iron. Has capacity to shoot and function well with repairs/replacement parts. Without repairs, it makes an amazing decor piece! Original was designed to be about Theodore Roosevelt & was designed by Morris Michtom (a candy store owner) after Roosevelt refused to shoot a bear in poor sportsman-like conduct. He created a stuffed animal in honor of this event, which eventually was commemorated in a coin-shooting bank design, like this one, from a company Michtom created called the Ideal Toy Company.
