About the skins --The rabbit skins come from a meat farm where they would otherwise be thrown away. I collect these skins and turn them into taxidermy art - sometimes as Blupees, Jackalopes, Wolpertinger, or even just mounting the rabbit in its natural form. These animals were not killed by me or for the purposes of taxidermy.About my work --I am very detail oriented and spend hours studying every animal I work on to make an anatomically accurate mount. Every one of my mammal skins, from deer to mouse, goes through the complete tanning process to ensure they are properly preserved. I prefer using the old-fashioned method of wrapping/carving my own forms but will also use commercial forms depending on the specimen. I work mainly with birds and small mammals. Thanks for looking!
