Description: For offer a pair of vintage Tapio Wirkkala knives most likely from the 1950's or 1960's. These knives originally belonged to Gunter Korus (1925-2021) he was a German painter who moved to the Adirondack region of New York in 1961. Known for landscapes of western New York to the south of the Catskills. These knives were well loved & have some dirt & aged patina to the bone handles, the smaller blade shows signs of sharpening. The larger knife is marked on the blade 'KORUS' & the smaller Hackman has his initials marked at the end of the hilt. Sold as is. Very nice aged examples of very well made knives. No sheaths.
