Description: This listing is for TWO stoneware GINGER BEER bottles by Lees & Evans of Christchurch New Zealand Their label is a blatant KNOCK-OFF of a very well respected and long-established company of SAFE MANUFACTURERS I have shown a maker's logo plaque of the Tann's Co. with their famous (Trademarked?) ANCHOR design & "Reliance" motto Lees & Evans, "Reliance", Christchurch (1891-1913) used many types of bottles with their "Reliance" anchor trade mark on them but they never used crown seal tops. The bottles they used were glass Internal Threads, Hamiltons (Torpedoes), Codds (Marble Bottles), Lamonts, Chapmans Patent (Rubber Ball Stoppers), Soda Syphons, Pottery Ginger Beer bottles with either cork stoppers or internal threads.
