Description: Switch by Harry Leneau Chuck Galbreath was the happiest man on Earth. His horse, Blue Bus, was horse of the year, and had pulled off the hardest task of all, winning the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and the Belmont Stakes in a row. But Chucks elation came crashing down when it came time to cash in on a billion dollar breeding syndicate. Blue Bus, it seemed, was shy. What to do? What to do? FORMAT Paperback LANGUAGE English CONDITION Brand New Author Biography Originally from Illinois, Harry Leneau began working at Sportsmens Stables in 1945. On Monday through Friday he went to school, and from Friday night through Sunday he put in stable work. After high school he had two years of junior college, two years in the army, and then trained horses for two years. After that it was back to college to become a registered medical technologist, a stint at Lutheran General Hospital in Parkridge, Illinois. What ensued was 25 years as a top-caliber lab technician for veterinarians, performing very advanced tests at the Illinois Equine Hospital and Clinic. His innovations have led to early intervention when it comes to the three most common horse ailments: arthritis (lameness), respiratory (bleeders), and liver problems. He became an inventor. One of his most recent patents (2011) involves hyaluronic acid nutritional supplements that improve horses bone health (actually the bone health of all warm-blooded vertebrates), joint pain, and reduced osteoblastic activity. With his wife Judy, Leneau owns and operates Amervet Labs, Inc. in Jasper, Missouri, which offers a wide range of veterinary services. Together they show Morgan horses. Today, he stays busy restoring his 1937 Packard, a convertible with a rumble seat. He and his wife Judy also have a 1949 Packard sedan, a 1968 Camaro convertible, and-as of today-eleven horses, 23 dogs, and eight cats. At last count Harry has been involved with horses for 70 years. The Leneaus latest horse is Nest Egg, by Jamie K. He is a bleeder. Harry is also the author of Ringer: The Great Louisiana Racetrack Heist, Ringer 2: The Great Connecticut Racetrack Heist, and Blood Chemistry of Performance Horses: New Analysis Can Give You an EDGE.
