Description: This is a single Swid Powell Robert Venturi design candlestick. This is silver plated and made in Italy. In 1982 Nan Swid and Addie Powell (co-workers from a furniture store) had a mission and that was to bring postmodern designs inspired by skyscrapers from the sky to the dinner table. They used ideas and designs from architects. One of those was American Architect Robert Venturi who designed and signed this candlestick. It is stamped Made In Italy and has the Swid Powell and R. Venturi signature stamped on the underside of the sconce. It stands 8.5 inches tall and has a few superficial scratches on the top of the sconce.
