Description: DESCRIPTION:Listed for your consideration is a sweet little mid-century Fontanini nun figurine. She is wearing the old fashioned, French "flying nun" coronet and habit of the French Sisters of Charity. She has her head tilted to the side and her eyes looking downward. She is stamped with the tell-tale spider mark on the back, along with the words Depose Italy #823. She stands approximately 5" tall. She is made of resin. My understanding is that these nuns were created by the artist Simonetti for The House of Fontanini, although I wasn't able to confirm this. CONDITION: Very good condition. There are no chips or cracks but there are stress marks to the resin (tiny wrinkles) visible in her coronet. A felt pad at the bottom of the figurine protects your table surface.
