Mounting gasket goes inside the joint/nut and between the petcock base and the tank. Bowl gasket goes inside the petcock and compressed by the bowl. The key to a successful installation on this gasket is not to over tighten. No more than 1/2 turn after firm contact is all you need. Packing gasket goes behind the lever. All gaskets should be lubricated before installation.
