Background / Quality I have been a book collector for more than 45 years. As we prepare to become empty nesters and downsize, I am selling off all the books I have collected over the years. I was the pickiest acquirer around. I’d often go to many bookstores when I couldn’t locate a blemish free copy of a book at my local store. I read less than 10% of the books I collected. When I did read a book, I’d barely spread the book open so as to avoid spine stress (What can I say, I was a geek). Often, the book would simply go into storage. Books that I acquired new have been stored in a smoke-free environment, always. As a result, I have accumulated some really nice copies of books published up to 50 years ago.
