Description: Superman #65 1992 DC Comics Comic Book From the issue: "Dear Mike and Dan: Good day, gentlemen! I wanted to write and tell you what kind of job I think you are doing on SUPERMAN and its counterparts. The latest issue, #61, was excellent. I really enjoyed seeing the Linear Men again. Since their first appearance in THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN #476 had very been very curious to know who they were, and why they went to capture Booster Gold. Now some of my questions have been brought up. Are the Linear Men a big group, or are they just a small group try- ing to make sure time stays on track? Also, is Matthew Ryder the leader or is there someone else? Well, I'm sure all will be revealed in due time. It was great to see Waverider and the Linear Men confront each other. It's hard to decide who is right. They both have valid arguments; however, I tend to side with Waverider and Superman. I feel if you have the chance to save lives, you should try your best and not worry about what kind of repercussions it may have on time. If you worried about that, then there would be no reason for Superman to continue. He could just let nature con- tinue on, and if someone should get killed, then it was meant to be. Anyway, it was a good story with some great arguments that should be able to supply us with some excellent stories in the future. I want to compliment Dan on the great cover and the spectacular art- work inside. Dan is one of my favorite artists. He has a way of drawing people that makes them look like they are stand- ing right there in front of you. Don't ever let him go from this book. Dan is not the only one who deserves compliment. The entire Super-team is doing a wonderful job. The way every- one pulls together and interlocks the sto- ries is miraculous. I must admit that I used to just look the Superman books over and go on to something else. Then about a year ago, I was in the hospital and I was given SUPERMAN #45 to read. As I read it it helped give me hope that everything would be all right. I will forev er be grateful for that issue and for being reintroduced to Superman. He truly is the most powerful super-hero. It's not just his powers that make him so, but his humanity and, of course, the great peo- ple who are devoting their lives to mak ing him so great. Thanks for giving us a great character.
