Description: Phenomenal Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Sash Buckle Brooch circa 1890s with old C Clasp and set with a huge faceted oval blue glass stone. This brooch measures 2 3/4" by 2". It is shiny gold gilt over a silver metal. It closes with a long pin and simple C clasp. Gorgeous scrolls and fleur de lis prongs hold the stone in place. The jewelry craftsmanship is excellent. These types of large pins were worn as sash or belt buckles in the late Victorian to Edwardian times circa 1890s to the early 1900s. A wonderful accessory to wear with a scarf or your favorite modern sash belt. In very good well cared for estate condition and over 100 years of age. 4812
