Description: SUPER RARE CDV - MOUNG EDWIN - BURMESE LAW STUDENT - BAPTIST MISSIONARY - SIGNED - You are considering an extremely rare CDV of the legendary figure in Burmese and American history. Here is a signed CDV of Moung Edwin who was born in Way-ya, Kyoung Bassein of Burma in 1849. Moung's father would convert from Buddhism to becoming the first Pwo Karen Baptist Minister which allowed Moung to later travel to study in America as one of the first Burmese in 1869 to attend law school. He would go onto winning many awards for his work throughout his lifetime. A copy of this same image can be found in the Iowa University Law Library where Moung attended and studied law. The image was signed on the front of the image by Moung Edwin with the word, "Burmah" following his signature. I will ship this incredibly rare photo carefully packaged by Priority Mail to the lucky winner. The mount is in fine condition. Again, the subject's original signature can be seen at the top of the front side of the CDV. The rear has the backmark of the photographer.
