Sunstop/Sunfast polyester thread has advanced UV protection that is specially designed for outdoor applications where seam strength and fade prevention are required. Also available in spools of 400m which I will do from the big spools, the second photo shows how will come to you. This thread is perfect for hand sewing, if you intent to use it in a sewing machine must be an industrial one and with a large needle, please be aware of the thickness, not all the machines will be able to use this thread. Sunstop/Sunfast Thread also features a nonwicking finish that helps to reduce moisture coming through seams. This polyester thread very seldom frays at the needle eye, and the consistent bonded finish minimizes the need for continual machine tension adjustments. Specially engineered for sewing in sailmaking, tents, boat covers, awnings, outdoor canvas covers, and tarps.where continued exposure to natural sunlight is anticipated, 6-10 ounce fabrics (including all Sunbrella fabrics).Sailmaker's thread should pull up off the top of the cone for a smoother feed to the sewing machine and to add an extra twist in the thread. The extra twist increases thread strength, helps keep the thread from unlaying, and eases tension problems. Please Note: Thread colour looks much darker on the cone, but once sewn the colour blends to an almost perfect colour match. The colour is designed to change after the bonded coating passes through a sewing machine. Resistant to heat, abrasion, mildew and salt water High stability in sunlight and UV resistant high strength and stretch control rarely frays. The black and white threads are solution dyed meaning the color runs all the way through the thread making the color more UV resistant. Other colors may fade from exposure to the sun.
