Sugito Standard-C Violin Bow, Japan, 4/4 Excellent advanced-level bow by Sugito. Handcrafted in Japan from high quality Pernambuco (corresponds to Sugito's older model "Sugito 800.") Round stick with a "German silver" (a nickel alloy) mount. Model C is the highest quality bow in Sugito'a "Standard" series of Pernambuco bows, ranking above their Pernambuco models A and B, as well as their Brazilwood models. The bow is several years old; it retailed new the equivalent of $950. The bow is in mint condition (the plastic cover on the winding is still there). It is ready to play. Charachterized by medium stiffness, with a very good bounce and an even draw from tip to frog. Suitable for professional orchestra musicians and advanced students.
