Description: This large silvertone brooch is signed ‘Vendome’ and dates to the early 1950’s. The leaflike design is covered in iridescent purple Aurora borealis rhinestones and equally outrageous glowing purple oval cabochons. The brooch measures 3 1/2” x 1 3/4” and is in excellent condition. However, there is a strange manufacturing defect that comes with this brooch. One of the stones has the clip part of an earring attached to the back….? This does not impede with the wearability of the brooch, is not seen from the front and there is no use for it, just a puzzling anomaly. This brooch is sold as-is and there will be no return offered.
