Description: Storyboard "Bugs Bunny's Mad World of Television" Annotated Daniel Detiege 1981 Storyboard "Bugs Bunny's Mad World of Television" Annotated David Detiege 1981 Click images to enlarge Description Bugs Bunny's Mad World of Television, complete (?) storyboard where television station QTTV executives select Bugs Bunny to be their new president, 25 11 by 8 1/2 inch pages, revised on October 16, 1981, in very good condition. The storyboard is composed of 25 Xeroxed pages with extensive red and blue ink hand written annotations on 16 pages in the hand of the writer director David Detiege who has signed the upper right corner of the first page. The storyboard is missing page 13 but has two "A" pages (14 A and 21A). Virtually all storyboard revisions are written on Xeroxed copies because multiple copies are needed to be sent to various personnel to review and revise. I have attached the first three pages of the story board showing the introduction of the cartoon. After Warner Bros. closed its internal animation department, the studio hired the firm of DePatie Freleng to create a series of half-hour Bugs Bunny special cartoons for television, which typically had a theme providing the plot to hold together the showing of several classic Warner Bros. cartoons with bridging animation to make somewhat logical stories. Either complete or segments of the following classic cartoons are included in this cartoon: What's Up Doc?, Tree Cornered Tweety, Past Perfumance, Heaven Scent, The Ducksters, Wideo Wabbit, and This is a Life?. David Detiege was hired by Depatie Freleng to write and direct many of the televsion cartoons. Friz Freleng was in charge of the animation and likely was ultimately responsible for production of the cartoons.
