The width can be adjusted with the stainless screws underneath and shown in the picture it is in the middle of the adjustment and has a 2-in opening for the motor leg. It is adjustable another half inch in each direction or can have a tapered opening if required. All original stainless steel screws and washers are included and there is no damage to the unit other than a couple of very light abrasions. It has always been used in Minnesota freshwater.
