Stillmate 35L Alembic Pot Still Kit V3512 With/Without Sight Glass Product Information This is another version of 35L Copper pot still with copper dome and whisky Onion and full copper modular 2" Alembic Copper Condensor kit with 35L digiboil boiler which has build-in thermostat and dural heating rate. This kit consist a 35L Digiboil boiler, a 30cm Copper dome with 4"ferrule on top, a 22cm 4"-2"copper onion, optional for Gin basket/sight glass, a 2"x 135C Copper elbow with thermometer, a 30cm long 2"copper condenser, a 2"x 45C copper below and a copper parrot. All set-up was designed to simulate professional distillery to make real whisky/Bourbon/Gin with modular parts. If you want to make your own whisky/bourbon with natural flavor using the traditional way, then this is almost the best pot still distillery kit. Both the copper dome and onion force a pressure drop that helps separate more volatile components. Like the passive reflux, this is a small difference, but it should help achieve better separation, in theory. Batch distillation is somewhat inefficient by design in order to preserve more flavor congeners during each run. The still spirits alembic pot still condenser has a better design with Lynn's arm and cooling jacket, it is a good combination with the copper onion. The boiler is 35L Digiboil boiler which is 24v//2400W with 2 heating rate of 1900W and 500W each. The boiler has a build-in thermostat for temperature control. Alos this kit come with a 2000W power station to fine tunning the heating rate for better result. The sight glass can run as a gin basket/thumper if you remove the copper scrubber/mesh. You have more choice to run this still for different purposes. The condenser was built as alembic-type pot still condenser with a larger cooling capacity and modular style thus you can manage all parts separately.
