Description: STICHTITE IN SERPENTINE ATLANTISITE RAW SPECIMEN 87 X 75 X 47 MM 282 G Atlantisite is the name given to a powerful stone that combines Stichtite and Serpentine. This crystal is also commonly referred to as Tasmanite, due to some of the very first known pieces coming out of Tasmania. Serpentine is a deep green crystal made of hydrated magnesium silicate, seldom blotched or splattered, similar to a snake or serpent's skin. Stichtite is a mineral, a carbonate of chromium and magnesium. Its colour ranges from pink through lilac to a rich purple colour. It is formed as an alteration product of chromite containing serpentine. Stichtite is believed to be a stone of rescue, recovery and forgiveness. The gemstone is thought to help heal unresolved issues and emotional issues by promoting feelings of love and compassion. This listing is for a rough specimen of Atlantisite from Dundas, Tasmania, with deep green Serpentine and purple inclusions of Stichtite. The specimen measures 87 x 75 x 47 mm at widest points, and weighs 282 g. Photographed wet in overcast sunlight.
