Description: For consideration is a framed and matted limited print of Creek artist Steven T. Deo entitled: SITTING BULL. Framed print measures approximately 14 x 11 inches. on inside. Professionally framed with glass. The oak wood frame measures 17 inches wide and 20 inches tall. The print is both hand signed and printed signature. It is dated 4-14-86 and is print 40/100. The print does have a wrinkle on the bottom right hand side. Looks like the previous owner or framer glued the print to a canvas board? Although this small flaw is present, it does not detract from the portrait of Sitting Bull. When it is on the wall, it is hard to see. Please look closely at photos. A nice vintage piece for the collector of Native American art. Steven Thomas Deo was born in the Indian Hospital of Claremore, Oklahoma on September 30, 1956, to Martha Sue (Brown) and Thomas Deo, full blood members of the Euchee and Creek Nations. He ended his journey Sunday, November 14, 2010, at the age of 54. Steve lived and worked in Fort Worth, Texas at the time of his death. He graduated from Tulsa's Webster High School in 1974, when he began a prolific career as a visual artist. Steve held a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the San Francisco Art Institute and an Associate of Fine Arts in both 2- and 3-Dimensional Art from the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe.
