Also featured: an interesting top view of a Porsche 550 Spyder airstream model. Introduced at the 1953 Paris Salon, the 550 Spyder was specifically developed for racing, and would become known as the "Giant Killer." McQueen brought his love of cars and speed to his movie roles, including LeMans, the 1971 action film that flops over into documentary territory. He was equally accomplished on the track as demonstrated by his second place finish at Sebring with partner Peter Revson in a Porsche 908/2. Prints are suitable for framing, and beautifully executed in the 2005 Porsche Wind Tunnel calendar. Since the calendar is spiral bound, the inside of each image was slightly trimmed. Prints look great framed and matted with border down the middle, or framed separately and hung side-by-side. In gorgeous, mint condition. Clean and crisp on heavy semi-gloss stock.
