Steuben #7742 Signed Vase Frederick Carder Design Hand Blown

Description: -Hand-blown, square-footed, clear crystal vase, made by Steuben Glass.-The Steuben shape/design number is 7742.-"Steuben" is engraved in script on the underside of the base.-The vase was designed by Frederick Carder, founder of Steuben Glass and a towering figure in American studio glass.-The vase was designed sometime before 1933 (probably in the 1910s-1920s). It was likely first available in both clear and color. In 1933, Steuben made massive organizational and philosophical changes to its business. While many of its pre-1933 designs were discontinued, this vase was among the designs that were kept in production (although it was subsequently only available in clear).-Height is around 6 inches; diameter at top opening is 5⅞ inches.-The vase is in excellent used, vintage condition. No chips, cracks, stains, or haze. There are 2 small surface scratches on the outside of the vase. The underside of the base also has some scratches--but that is only the normal type of wear you'd expect to see on a vintage piece that has likely been moved around on various surfaces.
