Description: As pictured...Lot of 2, Starrett #20 & unmarked piece with brass/wood handle.Both came from same person/toolbox so I figured I'd keep them together. Belonged to an Engineer who worked at MACK TRUCK in Plainfield NJ.Cool and interesting fact.Owner of the tool came up with the idea to use Chains to dissipate static shock on trucks.Was/is a real problem, but back in the day was a serious issue, is reasoning for using chains other than it worked...You could find them in any and every shop across the country so they were inexpensive, quickly retrofitted the trucks in fleet(s) and easily replaced if needs be.He was quite practical.
