Description: Offered is an ORIGINAL 1977 ROLLED 40x60 STYLE D "STAR WARS" movie poster from director George Lucas' 1977 sci-fi ground-breaking blockbuster masterpiece that redefined an entire genre of film making and led to two direct blockbuster sequels ("The Empire Strikes Back" in 1980 and "Return of the Jedi" in 1983), known as the "Original Trilogy." This STYLE D poster with artwork by Drew Struzen and Charles White III is absolutely GORGEOUS and is George Lucas' favorite poster from the film.. ***This is one of the RAREST SIZES that exist for this poster. IT IS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO FIND THIS POSTER IN A 40X60 format SIZE IN THIS CONDITION!!!*** There are no pinholes, no staple holes, no fading, no writing, no tape. The only minor defects are a very tiny tear (approx. 1" top white border, a chip approx 2" that was repaired on the bottom border and some light waviness to the bottom border and a light crease on top white border). (please review ALL photos). *Note* The yellow line at the right bottom corner is NOT from a marker or considered a defect. This resulted from an issue by the printer. ALL original 40x60 Style D posters have this mark on them. This does NOT detract from the poster's value. Other than that the poster is extremely well-preserved...colors are bold and robust, no rolled stress creases. I never hung or displayed the poster in any fashion. It comes from my personal collection of hundreds of original movie posters. The poster has been stored rolled in an acid-free printer's proofing tube since I acquired it over 35+ years ago. It comes from a smoke-free, pet-free and climate controlled environment. Buyer agrees to submit payment at the time of purchase.
