STAR WARS 1977 VINTAGE MOVIE POSTER-EXTREMELY RARE AMA ORIGINAL

Description: This is an original, authentic poster printed for the American Marketing Association for a meeting here in San Diego on "Merchandising the film Star Wars". This very special poster was given to me when I was around 8 or 9 years old, by the artist, Robert Watts, who was our next door neighbor and my best friend's Dad. We had our hot little hands on these very limited edition posters long before the movie came out and long before the meeting took place. As a kid, I couldn't understand why this wasn't the art used on all the movie posters. I thought it was the best depiction and best illustration of all the characters (and I still do). This poster is extremely rare in that it was printed as a limited edition and used exclusively for the AMA meeting. It was not available for purchase or for display to anyone other than meeting attendees. We got lucky that Bob was given a few and we were the fortunate recipients. Special note: The AMA meeting was held at the Butcher Shop Steakhouse in Mission Valley, close to Mission Valley Theater where we, along with the Watts family, all stood in a giant line to see Star Wars for the very first time. :) Poster measures 18 x 24 and is in absolute mint condition. It is signed at the lower right hand corner "To Kim, Robert Watts" but it is not real visible. (see pics). My Mom carefully set this flat in a frame 45 years ago and it has spent its life flat in oversized frame you see in the pictures, away from light or elements of any kind. It has never been folded or rolled! There are no creases and the condition is an honest 9.5 of 10. I say 9.5 because it has a tiny bit of white at top right corner. I have cherished it and kept it safe all these years and it is hard to let go of, but it is now time for it to be on display and to be enjoyed. ***Please note*** Pictures shown are of the poster inside the glass frame it has lived in for 45 years.
