Black Final Draft Dated June 28, 1966 This vintage script was sold by Lincoln Enterprises. Lincoln Enterprises was originally set up by Gene Roddenberry and Bjo Trimble to sell Star Trek merchandise. Lincoln Enterprises (LE) Star Trek scripts were among the very first Star Trek collectibles ever offered, dating back to the late 1960s when the show was still in its original run on NBC. Many LE scripts were production-used; they contained colored change pages and had crew names written on their covers. Others (the majority) were reproductions, some of which were high quality and similar to the studio scripts, while others were not. The higher quality reproductions were printed on mimeograph machines and collated with two brads to mimic what was done by the studios. These copies were also done in red cover card stock with nearly identical printing as the originals. At some point, probably in the mid-to-late 70’s, Lincoln discontinued the red card stock covers and used other colored, non-card stock paper. However, all of these Lincoln copies contained all white pages with differing revision dates at the top, a clear indicator, one of several, that the scripts were reproductions. LE scripts are not always the final shooting scripts and may contain earlier versions. This item comes from the estate of a long time Star Trek collector. It was purchased (new or used), put in a box, and stored in a climate controlled environment. Condition: The script is in nice condition but it does have wear including creasing and small stains or discoloration on the front and back covers. There may also be creasing, staining, and discoloration on the pages. The fasteners holding the book together have discoloration and rust.
