Description: (STANWELL SILHOUETTE 67 + G. JENSEN ORION) *N. MINT* (1970s-1980s) Danish Pipes Two very beautiful Danish pipes made some time in the 1970s-1980s (see in the last photo the oxidation on Stanwell's stem before it was cleaned). Medium-large bowl sizes, similar to something between Dunhill's Group 3 and Group 4. The Stanwell is for the Silhouette series which is characterized by the black finish and the ivory ring on the stem. Oval bowl, full mouthpiece. The Georg Jensen is a bent apple with saddle stem and quite clear grains for the ORION series. Both pipes are in excellent plus/near mint condition. Some small scratches on the Stanwell and a small scratch on the underside of the G. Jensen's stem are their small faults. The black colored has approximate length 132 mm (5.20"), bowl height 43 mm (1.69"), chamber depth 37 mm (1.46"), chamber diameter 17x18 mm (0,67"x0.71") and weighs 38 gr (1.34 oz). Shank marks : STANWELL, SILHOUETTE, MADE IN DENMARK, 67 - Stem marks : crowned S [on the side] The other has approximate diagonal length 135 mm (5.31"), bowl height 44 mm (1.73"), chamber depth 39 mm (1.53"), chamber diameter 17 mm (0.67") and weighs 48 gr (1.69 oz). Shank marks : GEORG JENSEN, Made in Denmark PIPES, 2037, ORION - Stem marks : G over J [logo, on the side]. Both pipes do not take filters and have original, vulcanite stems.
