It is no brainer authentic. This very cool STANFIELD KNIFE came from St Clair Co Illinois and is an Ex Rick Shelton piece. It comes with a Dwain Rogers Certificate of Authenticity. Dwain calls this a Tennessee River Knife, but I believe it to be a Stanfield Knife. In any case, this is a fantastic relic that shows nice use and great patination. It is made from a classic piece of Burlington chert. It is is quite thin and has nice edge work overall. There is no modern damage. This is a very nice Stanfield Knife and it will make an excellent addition to any authentic collection. The flaking doesn't show well in the pictures, but it is a very well made piece and sure to impress in the hand. Size 5.12 inches in length.
