Description: St Margaret ClitherowSingle Decade Rosary This pretty chaplet has a 7/8" nickel silver medal, from Italy, with the image of St Margaret Clitherow on the front and on the back "St Margaret Clitherow Pray for Us". The 1-1/2" silver-toned St Benedict crucifix and the medal were made in Italy; the rosary was handmade by me in our home in the USA.The single Our Father is a genuine, smooth, round Rose Quartz. The ten Hail Mary beads are genuine Czech glass, faceted and fire-polished, in alternating aurora borealis light sapphire blue and aurora borealis light rose.About 10" long, comes with a St Margaret Clitherow prayer card, plus a gift bag and tissue paper, Rosary pamphlet, Divine Mercy prayer card, 15 Promises of Mary card, St Benedict prayer card and a carry pouch. St Margaret Clitherow was an English wife and mother of two who was raised Anglican but converted to Roman Catholic. This was during a time of great persecution of the Church under the reign of Queen Elizabeth I, and Margaret supported the Church by allowing priests to say Mass in her home and providing hiding places when needed. Finally she was caught and arrested; she was sentenced to death by pressing - an awful method of execution in which a sharp stone was placed under her back, then a large plank or door was placed on top of her and heavy weights were placed on the plank. She died within 15 minutes; she was only 30 years old. The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper.
