Description: Kundan Jewelery is created by setting carefully shaped, cut and polished multi-coloured gemstones into exquisitely designed pure gold or faux metal base. Although not made from gold and real gemstones as they did in the Mughal era, these elaborate Indian earrings are of high quality design and manufacture. "Diamond" and "emerald" cubic zirconia are closely set in gold plated mountings on four graduated overlapping rounds. From the bottom of each hang little emerald green glass beads. The bottom has five larger amazonite (stone) beads as well as the glass beads. The underlying metal is brass. With the open backs for the CZs, the reverse of the earrings is almost as beautiful as the front. These have posts- are for pierced ears. They are 4" (10cm) long and 1 1/4" (3.5cm) across the bottom. Each weighs 15 grams- they are not light. The photos give the illusion that the gold plating is peeling, but this is due to the way the light falls on the indentations in the metal of the sides- the plating is fine. For a traditional wedding, or any dress up occasion, these earrings are bound to wow the crowds.
