Sony Walkman WM-F12 FM/AM Cassette Portable Stereo Read Description

Description: Sony Walkman WM-F12 Portable Stereo Cassette PlayerSelling As/Is due to some known issues that would need to be fixed to be fully operational. I will do my best to try and describe what works and doesn't work.The AM/FM stereo tuner works as does the 3.5mm headphone jack. The volume and tuner dials work as well, but could use a good contact cleaning due to age. The cassette mechanism FF and Reverse Work fine if I hold the Play button from activating at the same time.The problem is that the Play mechanism will move whenever I press Stop/Reverse/FF so it seems like whatever linkage should stop the play from also engaging is not working properly. In fact, if I do hit play then the only way I can undo it is to pull on the play button itself to disengage the play mechanism. I tried to capture that in a video.The battery compartment does have corrosion, but I am still able to power the device with batteries.I think with a little effort somebody could get this fully functional, but I don't have the experience or time personally.
