If you buy this with the intent of putting in a new spindle it will not fix the drive, I took the spindle out after the fact to put into another unit. The disc drive is completely dead. It either needs a new disc drive or a disc drive emulator. Note that this console does not have the parallel port on the back, so a PSIO or any other flash cart will not be compatible. Console only.
