Description: This uncirculated 10 Somaliland shilling note is part of the gold commemorative series issued by the Bank of Somaliland in 1996 to celebrate the 5th anniversary of Independence. It is a purple and brown note that is dated 18 May 1996 over 1994, bear the signatures of Barreh Hajj Omer and Abdi Mohamoud Gullet, and measures 120 mm x 53 mm. Its obverse side features the Goodrika building, a male greater kudu, and a horizontal gold 5th Anniversary of/ Independence 18 May 1996/ Sanad Gurada 5ee/ Gobanimada 18 May 1996. Its reverse side shows two nomads with three camels and the twin hills of Naasa-Hablood. The note does not have security thread or a watermark.
