In 1957 Leboneur children's hospital in central Memphis issued one of those license plate 'toppers' to anyone who chose to donate to the hospital Only people who made a donation were given one of those plates. There aren't many of those around. That's the reason for the letters on each end of the plate, LE & BH. The letters stand for 'Leboneur'. For some years following they continued that practice. For how long, I don't know. Might even still be doing that. I will ship in a tube for safety.
