Description: Playing With Power Tools At The Altar Of Venus, by R. Julius Fildes. A 32-page chapbook of science fiction, poetry, and art, mostly in the cyberpunk vein, with elements of horror, punk rock, and satire. All content by the author. Published in Kent, Ohio, in 1994. 8.5" x 5.5", offset printed in black and white. Interior is 20# plain paper, cover is 80# slick cardstock, saddle stapled. From an original print run of 200 numbered copies. Most copies have a little bit of surface scuffing and storage wear, as well as a bit of ink smudging inside and out from the printing process. Due to an error in layout, there is a correction/addendum slip on blue paper inserted at the top of page 30 (pictured). Critic Richard Levesque gave the book an excellent review, calling it a "Stunning chapbook of what could be considered Neo-Gothic Cyberpunk...a hot atomic bomb of words and emotion... This is industrial horror poetry for the machine age; coffeehouse Beat for a new generation of poets born and raised on the information superhighway." (from Scavengers Newsletter #126, August 1994) Original cover price was $1.50. I am asking $5.00 postage paid, with discounts if you order more than one. Ships via USPS First Class Mail.
