The text pages are generally clean and bright, though there is some light toning. The two inmost sheets (four pages) of the October issue have come away from the staples, though there is no extra wear or tearing to the staple holes. The contents include: Selections from the Biography of Huey Newton, by Bobby Seale, with an Introduction by Eldridge Cleaver, A Welfare State for the Rich by Lee Webb, Shades of Berlin , in Mexico, Slaughterhouse Five or the Children's Crusade by Kurt Vonnegut Jr. : The First Two Chapters... (this magazine published Oct. 1968 : prior to the official publication in March of 1969). And more. "But the ultimate arbiter of Vonnegut's success was to be all those readers - from the critics to the book-buying public - whom he had been trying to reach ever chince he decided to become a writer.
