Description: Wartime Magician Trick Coin Set From The 1940’s that belonged to the same owner. Two 1944 quarters were carefully sliced and glued to create a double headed quarter and a double tailed quarter. Both coins weigh 6.6 grams of 90 percent silver, and both are equally toned with a beautiful antique patina, and equally worn. The only distinguishing feature is one side of the double tailed quarter has an S mint mark for San Francisco, while the other is a Philadelphia minted coin without a mint mark. The third trick coin is more crude in appearance being that it’s made out of a filleted mercury dime for heads, with a wheat penny back for tails. As far as the history of the coins themselves is concerned, I inherited them over 20 years ago from my former landlord in Maspeth Queens, NY. He was born in 1912 and passed away in my arms in 2005 after falling down a steep flight of stairs in the building I grew up in. I have many other, more sentimental items from him that I will always cherish, but I am ready to part with his trick coin set for the right price. I’m asking 275 dollars for the set because of the historically unique factor but I am willing to entertain offers, so please shoot me a message with your best price and/or whatever other questions you might have. Thank you for looking and have a great day.
