Description: Description of the coin The coin was issued from 1810 to 1826. The front and back sides have a protruding edge around the circumference with teeth facing inward. The obverse of the coin depicts the State Emblem of the Russian Empire in the first quarter of the 19th century. The coat of arms features a double-headed eagle with raised wings, crowned with two imperial crowns, above which is the same crown, but larger. The eagle holds a scepter with its right paw, and an orb with its left. On the chest there is a shield with the Moscow coat of arms: St. George on a horse, striking a serpentine dragon with wings with a spear. The Moscow coat of arms is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Apostle Andrew the First-Called. Under the eagle's paws are the initials of the mintmaster of the mint - the letters "P" and "D". In a circle along the edge, the denomination is indicated at the top - COIN POLTIN, at the bottom the year of minting is 1820, the inscriptions are separated by three six-pointed stars. On the reverse of the coin in the middle there is an inscription in four lines: PURE SILVER 2 GOLD 10 1/2 LOVE (designation of the mass of pure metal). Below is a solid horizontal line, and below it the letters - S.P.B. (Saint Petersburg). On the sides along the edge there are two branches (laurel and oak), connected at the bottom with a ribbon. At the top is the imperial crown. Since 1810, Aleksandrovskaya Poltina has undergone great changes. For example, now the eagle raised its wings high, and a decorative star rose above the crown of Russia. Also, the crown was depicted either narrower or wider in different years of minting. The crowns on the eagle heads also changed in size, depending on the year of production. The reverse received a different inscription: PURE SILVER 2 GOLD. 10 shares" The edge of the coin was now minted smooth, containing an inscription about the number of shares and the silver standard. In 1813, the half-tina was produced with a wide imperial crown, and from 1820 it became narrow. This time the size of the silver half was reduced to 28.5 mm. Six minimasters worked on the Aleksandrovskaya Poltina in different years. Their initials are on the coins:
