Description: This is a nice vase, but I can't figure out who made it. It's signed and dated 1995 near the bottom, and they also etched G5503 into the bottom. The vase is 8" wide x 7" tall and weighs 3 lbs. 2.5 oz. The outside is dark purple with abstract gold foil around the shoulder. The top rim and the inside is a lighter lilac purple. I found a 2" long group of smaller scratches, but it's not too obvious. It was difficult to get a decent picture, and you really have to look for it with a light at the right angle. Design-wise, this looks extremely similar to some Laslo for Mikasa pieces. They have the same purple on the outside and lighter purple rim. However, those do not have gold foil and have a label on the bottom, while this one is etched signed.
