Description: "Photographs of the Southwest" is a 128 page, oblong (12"x9.5") hardcover featuring photographs taken by Ansel Adams and published in 1976 by New York Graphic Society (Boston). This is the stated first printing, and it's signed by Adams on the dedication page. It contains an essay by Lawrence Clark Powell. Adams was one of the most influential photographers of the 20th Century, and this book contains reproductions of 109 of his finest photos, taken from throughout his career (1928-1968), that depict Southwestern landscapes and natives. The book is in good condition due to a small spot of loss to the cloth along the front top edge (see last photo). The dust jacket shows light edge wear and rubbing, various scuffs and small spots. The cloth boards have light wear at the extremities and the aforementioned spot of damage. The photographer's autograph is the only internal mark, and the binding is firm. International buyers – please note: Import duties, taxes, and charges aren't included in the item price or postage cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be, prior to bidding or buying.
