The book was signed in my presence at an event I attended long ago at the Shakespeare Folger Theatre in DC where both Annie Proulx and Larry McMurtry appeared. I was very fond of the quote and asked Proulx to include it with her autograph. It’s one of a kind and unlike others that are simply signed.
