Description: ' This lovely antique Sterling Silver cold meat fork from GORHAM was purchased at Shreve & Co., in San Francisco oh, so many decades ago. Its condition is excellent with a few of the expected small scuffs and scratches on a piece of its age. One tine is ever so slightly off in its lineup with the others but is difficult to notice and easy to manually realign. Otherwise it’s a splendid specimen. The fork features a monogrammed "M" in the handle. Naturally I've left the tarnish as is and will let the buyer decide whether or not to polish the fork. The style is Art Nouveau and the pattern is referred to as Lancaster Roses. The 4 grandiose tines spread out from their base in order to more easily spear thinly sliced cold cuts. This fork also features a charming floral cutout in the center to compliment the repousse blooming roses that are featured on its handle below.
