SHAWDOWLINE Blue Peignoir Robe & Night Gown, NOS w/Tags, Embroidery VTG 70's

Description: NOS New Old Stock Vintage Shadowline peignoir set in UNWORN condition with original sales tags. This set is light blue and has lovely blue floral embroidery trim detail on the collar and night gown yoke and is from Vintage 1979 with bust to 40 inches. The set includes a night gown and robe to complete this peignoir set which is knee length. This set is light blue in color. Both the robe and night gown have a romantic, feminine, yet demure look. The embroidery detail on the Peter Pan collar of the robe and the yoke detail of the night gown is blue florals. The nightgown has a rounded neckline with a self tie at neckline. This has soft gathers under the yoke at front and has a very figure forgiving fit. This gown is short sleeved. The matching peignoir robe also has a rounded neckline with the same floral details on the Peter Pan collar. This has 6 buttons up the front of the robe with one patch pocket on the right front of the robe. The sleeves are the robe are 3/4 length. These are unworn. These were sales samples and were show to customers to see quality and workmanship before they purchased. I purchased this and over 500 vintage sets in NOS New Old Stock condition. The nightgown was model 3718 and was from the Fall 1979 collection from Shadowline and came in Pink, Blue and Mint. This is the Blue color - which is a light blue. The retail price of the night gown was $11. The peignoir robe 7718 and retailed for $14 in 1970. This set combined would have retailed for $25 in 1979, which is the equivalent of over $100 in today's monies. The size on this says small - but these are a very generous cut and should easily fit a modern small to medium today. Please see below to see if these will fit you. Robe: Small (very forgiving sizing) shoulder to shoulder is 15 3/4 inches Sleeves are 12" inches on inside and 18 inches on outside edge. Around bicep area is 13 inches armhole is 19 inches Bust to 40 inches waist to 38 inches hips to 42 inches length is 40 1/2 inches. Night gown: bust to 42 inches inset sleeves, so no shoulder seam sleeves are 1 1/2 inches on inside and 7 1/2 inches on outside bicep of arm is 15 inches armhole is 22 inches bust to 42 inches waist to 44 inches hips to 54 inches length is 40 inches. Tag inside say All Nylon (This is the Shadowline Black and White Pendant Logo. Machine wash and dryable. This has the black and white Shadowline tag inside These are machine washable. Because these are New with Tags, I have not washed these. CONDITION: Mint condition with no signs of wear or use. These were sale samples and have not been worn. The original sales tags are on these units. MINT condition with NO issues. It does not get any better than this. The nylon and workmanship is lovely. Feminine and demure.....and the light blue color with embroidery stitching detail is divine! If you have not worn a vintage Shadowline piece - prepare to be surprised! The nylon is so much better than anything that is used today. The attention to detail is lovely. So many of the new pieces do not last one year. I have had Shadowline pieces that are over 10 years old that I am still wearing from the 70s and 80s. I have purchased over 500 unworn Shadowline sales samples from 60, 70, 80s and 90s.
