This is an authentic movie studio photograph from the time period represented by the photo, used for publicity and promotional purposes at the time of the movie's release. Movie photos (or stills) were produced in limited numbers, and sent from the studio's publicity department to select theaters and the contemporary newspaper wire services, which has led to them sometimes being referred to as "Wire Photos".
