Description: Welcome to Antiques & Moore!This listing is for a STUNNING set of eight (8) vintage Theodore Haviland New York engraved and gilt decorated service plates. These stunning plates feature a 1" engraved design around the outer border with a 1/4" engraved band encircling a large 3" engraved center medallion. Each engraved design is different with each being totally encrusted with 22k gold. Between the outer gilded border and the middle golden band, the plates are a cream color and around the center medallion they are pure white. These plates are absolutely magnificent. Each of these plates is in excellent Estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and reflect only minimal signs of wear. There are no notable surface scratches or damage to the gilding. These porcelain plates are of very high quality and are worthy of any level of entertaining. Marked on reverse "Theodore Haviland New York" and stamped "Made in America" with hand written number "711 1". Measure 10 3/4" in diameter and stand almost 3/4" high. Each plate weighs 1.7 pounds for a total of 11.8 pounds. We at Antiques & Moore have been in the Antiques business for over 30 years and try to describe our items as accurately as possible.
