These charming candle holders should be cleaned with a damp cloth to preserve their finish. Purchase them to use or display but either way they're becoming very collectable. AS IS: Japanese ceramics from this era are infamous for chipping and rushed painted surfaces because of mass production techniques, unfortunately thats the case with these two holders. I personally adore the subtle surface ware of age and the slight loss of paint from some of the line work.
