Description: Set of Four 1969 Ludwig Red Sparkle Concert Toms ********************************************************** This set of four born-together in 1969 Ludwig Concert Toms in original Red Sparkle finish sizes 9x13 10x14 12x15 14x16 have been fully cleaned, restored, sound ferocious & are ready to be played! Sporting Ludwig Pointy Blue and Olive badges on each drum with nearly sequential serial numbers placing production in Chicago IL USA in the year 1969. Sizes & Serial Numbers: 13x9 SN 793257 14x10 SN 793254 15x12 SN 793252 16x14 SN 793251 The brilliant original Red Sparkle finish is very clean with a few scratches from normal use. The original Ludwig 1960s chrome hardware is clean showing a few scratches, minimal rust and pitting. The 3 ply Maple poplar Maple shells of each of these drums have clear maple interiors that show a bit of scratching inside each drum.. The maple Re-rings appear fully in tact on all drums. known defects All drums have a small « UN » carved into them less than 1cm tall see photo 13 & 14” drums have very small hole drilled through 15” drum has a 5” long scratch under the badge 16” drum has a very small ”c” scratched into it A few scratches on finish, hardware & inside the shells from normal wear and tear on each drum. Two of the tension rods on the 15” drum are slightly bent.
